POLICIES & PROCEDURES:
Administration of Medication

In the case of ongoing administration or self-administration of medication or provision of a health care procedure, a plan with parental consent is to be in place with accompanying medical documents and/or support.

On occasion, we have been asked by a parent to ensure their child receives prescribed medication. Please be aware that to do so, we require a signed, dated note.

Students are to take emergency life saving medication such as Epipens or Ventolin (rescue puffers) with them to team practices or games, and PE classes in the event that those students leave the ground. Help the coaches and teachers by completing permission or registration slips and indicating whether your child has any emergency medication. Medication should be checked periodically to ensure that it is not expired or in need of replacement due to damage. Epipens and rescue puffers should also be taken on field trips and kept in a place that is easily accessible and known by the teacher.
